Air Freight Quote Terms

They are subject to confirmation and filing in the relevant carrier tariff where applicable. These figures are valid for 30 days and are quoted on a prepaid basis.
3.        Local or door delivery at the destination is not included unless specifically mentioned and in such cases where it is provided any delays due to customs clearance by the consignee will be for the account of the cargo and must be paid prior to release.
4.        At most destination airports the airlines will have a local fee that is for the account of the consignee as these are above and beyond any quote / estimate we have given.
Transit time and Frequency:

Ocean Freight Quote Terms
Notes:
1.         Any rates quoted or estimates given are subject to change and possible third party increases. They are subject to confirmation and filing in the relevant carrier tariff where applicable. These figures are valid for 30 days and are quoted on a prepaid basis. Freight must be paid either on or before the sailing of the vessel from the first port of loading. Late payment could result in the cargo being delayed on route or held back by the carrier with all costs for the account of the cargo. Where special rates have been agreed payment must be paid on or before loading of the cargo on the vessel from port of origin and failure to pay on time will result in any special rates being null and void. The carrier’s tariff rate would apply or the carriers NOS Rate (Not otherwise Specified) would apply.
2.         LCL - Freight rates quoted on a W/M bases mean Weight or Measurement of the cargo and charged on whichever is greater and are per cubic meter or 1000 kilos.
3.         FCL- Full container load rates are quoted from the door of an inland location they are on a ‘Live Load’ basis with two hours free time for loading and thereafter $95.00 per hour.
4.         Local or door delivery at the destination is not included unless specifically mentioned and in such cases where it is provided any delays due to customs clearance by the consignee will be for the account of the cargo and must be paid prior to release.
5.         In the case of a vehicle is part of the shipment inside a container US Customs requires that the Original vehicle title be validated by Customs at the port of export. In this case there is a charge of $125.00 per vehicle and $25.00 for each additional vehicle in the container for the validation. This covers the courier or messenger costs to and from US Customs. In some ports where US Customs make it necessary to use a local licensed customs broker to handle the validation the costs might be slightly higher. The customer is free to handle the validation of the title with Customs themselves.
6.         Item 5 above will also apply where the shipment is a machine such as a Caterpillar excavator or any other similar machine with wheels that is required by US Customs to have validation.
7.         We do not quote for sending any documents overseas such as when a customer requests an Original Bill of Lading to be issued and have this sent by courier to their overseas buyer. We can provide that service but cost for this will be advised at the time of the booking if the customer gives us instructions that they want to have an Original Bill of Lading and where they should be sent to. Costs for sending documents overseas will be additional and given only when we are advised what the customer wants us to do on a case by case basis.
8.         If our quote for Pick up or Delivery is based on the locations being Commercial locations with a loading dock. If your specific location is different please advise so we can revise the quote. If for example your locations require a Lift-Gate or you have a residential location please advise so we can amend the quote.
9.         Charges at the destination are not included unless clearly and specifically mentioned what they are for and for who’s account they are for they are for the consignees account.. LCL shipments will always be subject to costs at the destination for stripping and warehouse charges imposed by the port, carrier or their agent and are not covered by us and we have no responsibility for them and they are strictly between the consignee and the carriers local agent. FCL shipment may also have local costs / charges at the destination port and unless clearly and specifically mentioned what they are for and for who’s account they are for. They are for the consignees account.
10.      As of July 1 2016 VGM (Verified Gross Mass declaration) the new SOLAS VGM law being implemented and all shipments are subject to this law and all of its requirements.
